Firstly, people peel and shave off Qua Sau then it is cut into strips and soaked in sugar water. Next, some crushed ginger is added to conjure up a slightly sour and sweet taste. After a few days, based on skill of the maker, Nuoc Sau may be ready to enjoy. The Sau siro (essential of fruit and sugar mixture) can be added to water and some ice to get a sour, fragrant, sweet taste. And the last step is just concentrate your mind on this unique beverage to the last drop.
Due to the fact that it can be preserved for a long period makes people appreciate this simple fruit even more. Sau season lasts from June to September in Hanoi. For an unknown reason, Hanoi is among not many cities in Vietnam use Sau as food and beverage. However, that is the reason why Many tourists are seen buying in bulk to take back for their families and friends as gifts.
