Vietnam's colour, chaos and natural beauty bring a new adventure every day. Feel your senses come alive as you walk Hanoi's crazy streets, visit the other-worldly villages of Sapa and sail on majestic Halong Bay. Vietnam's food, people, sights and history keep even the most seasoned traveller coming back for more.

Day 1

Hanoi

On your arrival, you are met local guide and driver who will take you to hotel. Then you have your free time.

Evening we enjoy the water puppet show, a unique northern Vietnamese art performance that we cannot be missed on our schedule for today. We will have a chance to learn more about the rural life of Vietnamese peasants and national heroes via a series of history story which were beautifully demonstrated by the artists. 

Day 2

Hanoi - Cycling tour (B)

Morning breakfast at hotel then we start our cycling day around Hanoi and also visit to some of the highlights of Hanoi; Temple of Literature, Ethnology Museum, and Women Museum. We will have a light lunch at Vietnamese Noodle Soup (Pho) and then ride around the ancient quarter of Hanoi. After that we ride outskirt of Hanoi along the dike to Bat Trang pottery village which is very well known for its ceramic art and porcelain for our exploring this Vietnamese traditional craft village.  Visiting this site and we also join with the artist do make your own pot, cup or dish as a good souvenir gift to take home, we start to ride back our hotel. 

Day 3

Hanoi - Halong - Kayaking (B)

A new exciting day waiting us to discover, we depart for Ha Long, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Hạ Long Bay has an area of around 1,553 km2, including 1,960–2,000 islets, most of which are limestone. The core of the bay has an area of 334 km2 with a high density of 775 islands and islets in all sides reflecting on turquoise water. The limestone in this bay has gone through 500 million years of formation in different conditions and environments.

 There are a lot of photo opportunity on our way to Ha Long as we drive through the rural area, street markets, paddy fields, vegetable farms, poultry farms and lotus farms. We take a rest stop Hong Ngoc shop after 2 hour drive for a coffee break then continue to Ha Long Bay. At midday we board the overnight junk for the cruise. A welcome drink is well prepared for us as we get on board then check in and enjoy a pleasant cruise on the bay. Seafood lunch is served on board while the junk is slowly going among the islands and islets. There are some activities for us to join in in this afternoon; visiting to the cave, swimming at Ti Top beach, climbing up the top of Ti Top Island for panoramic view of the bay, kayaking in late afternoon or joining squids finishing at night. The junk is anchored in a quiet bay for overnight. Dinner and overnight on board. 

Day 4

Ha Long - Hanoi - Sapa (B)

Morning just join the Tai Chi Class on sundeck for half an hour and then we will have breakfast. We keep on our excursion and visit to Sung Sot cave, fantastic stalactites and stalagmites in all different sides with beautiful natural color. Return to our junk and check out. Enjoy a pleasant cruise back to the pier for disembarkation then drive back Hanoi. On arrival Hanoi, we have free time then take an overnight train Sapa. 

Day 5

Sapa - Trekking (B)

Early morning we get to Lao Cai railway station then transfer to Sapa town. Sapa is a hill station resort built during the French in 1880s and a lovely town located at 1600 m above the sea level. Sapa is very famous for hill tribe markets, mountainous and fabulous Hoang Lien Son mountain range in which Fan Si Pan, at a height of 3314 meters above the sea level is considered as the highest peak of Indochina peninsula. We enjoy our breakfast at hotel where we can leave our luggage and refresh before trekking to Ta Van and Lao Chay village. Late afternoon we drive back hotel then check in. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 6

Sapa - Hanoi -Trekking (B)

Morning we trek to Cat Cat village for 2 hours then free at leisure. Late afternoon we drive to Loa Cai railway station for an overnight train to Hanoi, en route, we visit to Ta Phin the home of the Red Dao people. We also have a chance to visit the border gate between Vietnam and China in Lao Cai City before getting on the train. Dinner is at local restaurant.

Day 7

Hanoi - Hue - Biking (B)

Early morning we arrive Hanoi Rail station then we proceed to Noi Bai Airport for our flight to Hue. Hue city, a lovely and romantic city located on the bank of Huong (perfume) River. Hue is the ancient capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945 and famous for the Citadel, Imperial City, Forbidden City and the royal tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty, the last feudal regime of Vietnam. On our arrival, we meet our local guide and driver to hotel then free at leisure.

Late afternoon we get on our bike to explore this beautiful city and our first place for today is Imperial City of Hue. Just leave our bikes at the entrance the Imperial Gate the we walk to see the whole complex of Forbidden City including; Ngo Non Gate, Royal Court Yard, Thai Hoa Palace, Royal Theater, Royal Library, and Ryal Worship area of Nguyen Dynasty.

We get on the wheel again and ride to Thien Mu pagoda located at the right bank of Huong River (Perfume River) on the top of the hill overlooking the Truong Son Mountain range and the river. Visiting this lovely place for half an hour then we ride to Dong Ba Market then return our hotel.

Day 8

Hue - Biking (B)

Morning enjoy our breakfast at hotel then prepare for a day ride to visit to the Royal Tombs, the place were used during both the life and dead of the Nguyen Rulers. A lovely traditional architecture royal tomb of King Tu Duc built in three years from 1864 -1867 is located outskirt of Hue among the fine forest, lakes and ponds meanwhile King Khai Dinh tomb is located on the hill step of Chau E mountain, the tomb is a blend of Western and Eastern architecture style and built in 1920. We just enjoy an easy ride through local villages along the river bank to these tombs. After visiting these places, we ride to Thuan An Beach.

Free time at the beach until late afternoon we cycle back to hotel. 

Day 9

Hue - Hoian - a fantastic day to on the bike (B)

Morning enjoy our breakfast at hotel then check out hotel, we get on our bus and drive to Phu Loc Pass where we will paddle to Hoi An. There is no better way to enjoy this beautiful distance from Phu Loc Pass to Hoi An than on our bike. Our first climbing is an easy to everyone but the second climbing is absolutely a challenge for all to reach the peak of Hai Van Pass. It is 10 km all the way up hill and then other 10km downhill. As we reach the bottom at Man O Beach, the road is flat and smooth until Hoi An Ancient Town. 

Day 10

Hoian - Walking Tour (B)

Morning enjoy our breakfast at hotel, we start our walking to ancient quarter of Hoi An. Our first visit is Fukien Assembly Hall where is also the Thien Hau temple located. This temple was built in early century and dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea and the Protector of sailor when Fukien traders traveled down South of China by the sea to Hoi An for their business. Later on they decided to stay permanently in this trade port until now. This place has become very popular local attraction for not only Vietnamese but also the foreign travelers as its architecture style is absolutely amazing figure. Then we keep on our walking from this temple to Tan Ky, ancient trading house. There are 7 generations of the Vietnamese merchant family has lived in this beautiful house and they carefully protect their home as its original for over 2 centuries ago. The architecture model of this house is the combination of Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese style. Come and see this place, we have a chance to talk to the owners who will inform us many useful and interesting things in the house,  their daily life and how they have kept their home beautifully since 19th century. It is not far from this home as it takes us 5 minutes to walk to Japanese Bridge, an iconic of Hoi An ancient town. This temple bridge (the bridge where there is a temple on it) was built by Japanese community in 1590s and it dedicated to the God of the weather. It is said that he controls all kinds of weather changes and natural calamities, so most of the sailors worship him. Finishing our history walking tour in this morning section with a visit to Sa Huynh Culture Museum nearby Japanese bridge, we have an opportunity to learn more about Hoi An ancient town. Then we have our free time to wonder around this lovely town.

Day 11

Hoian - Ho Chi Minh - Walking (B)

Most of our time in this morning is free at leisure. Midday we check out then drive to Danang airport for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam. Its former name was Saigon which was well known as the “Pearl of Far East” during the French colony and today Ho Chi Minh has become an official name of this dynamic, bustle and hustle city since 1976. There are so many interesting thing to see in this city from very early in the morning until midnight.

On our arrival, we take a walking tour around the town and visit to some typical colonial buildings over hundreds of year; Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office, the Opera House, City Hall and Nguyen Hue walking street.

Day 12

Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi (Cycling tour) (B)

Today we drive out to Hoc Mon district where we ride on our bike to Cu Chi tunnel which is the most complicated underground system in Vietnam built in early 1948 and completed its 250km long around 1960. This is an amazing place where we are absolutely admired the way of the guerrillas’ living and fighting for their mission. Before examining this historic site such as a private entrance of the tunnel, Commander Bunker, Fighting Bunker, Meeting Bunker and Health Care Bunker, we will watch a short documentary film about this special place to have an idea why it was named as an “Iron Land”. After that we walk to see the site. Our first place in our list thing to visit is original private entrance which is 25cm width and 30cm length then we head to Fighting bunker where we actually get down the tunnel. Next we will have a chance to view the booby trap gallery, all kinds of traps were used by guerrillas to stop the attack from their enemy. The smokeless Hoang Cam kitchen where we will have a chance to taste the guerrilla’s food, the steamed cassava associated with peanut, salt and sugar is an incredible bunker to visit. Mr. Hoang Cam designed this special kitchen during the French – Vietnam War in Dien Bien Phu battle field and it became very popular as its smokeless chimney system in a later War.

We just get our tired feet on the bus back to Ho Chi Minh City then free at leisure.

Day 13

Ho Chi Minh - My Tho (B)

Today we will enjoy the beautiful scenery in Mekong Delta, hundreds of Canal and River system and the most productive farm in Vietnam. We just take 2 hour drive to My Tho City, which is located on the bank of Mekong River, one of the longest rivers in the world then take the boat cruise to Thai Son Island for visiting fruit farm, bee farm and local handicraft. We not only enjoy the fruits at the farm and honey tea but also entertain the traditional music show, “Don Ca Tai Tu” which has been selected as the World Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Just enjoy a peaceful moment on our rowing sampan under a shady water coconut palm on both sides of canal, a fantastic view of the river, a cheerful smile and the hospitality of the local people, we are awarded to have them all. On the way back to Ho Chi Minh, we will have lunch at Mekong Rest Stop restaurant and enjoy local speciality.

Seat back and relax on our way back to the hotel.

Rest of the day is free at leisure. 

Day 14

Ho Chi Minh - Departure (B)

There is activity for today. Just pack up and relax until your departure flight. The guide and driver will pick you up then transfer you to Tan Son Nhat Airport.
